COMBINING SPACE WITH REFLECTION 

The interior design of Mélange Store is based on generating different experiences with the combination of spatial configurations and reflective surfaces.

Designed by Ahmad Fakhra and Massive Order, the Mélange Store is located in downtown Kuwait City. The L-shaped layout of the space implied a peculiar challenge for the designers. The short and narrow arm of the L overlooked the main hall of the mall and was ideal as the main window display area.

This challenge was met by creating two distinct experiences in each arm of the L. One experience focuses on perfect symmetry and multiplication of perspectives via the repetition of mirrors. The other experience sculpts space with black and white geometric ceiling pieces that act as an inspiring window display and doubles as a functional merchandise area.
